Dear God,

hear this prayer,

I now pray for my dad.

Thank you for his life,

for without him, I wouldn’t exist.

Thank you for the memories,

when he cared for me and held me.

Thank you for the lessons,

learned by his examples and his mistakes.

Oh Father God,

Bless my dad

Bless his soul.

And in his failures, let me forgive him,

And love him, as you love us.

Through the spirit, heal the wounds between us.

Please guide his soul

to be with you now in heaven.

You are the father to us all.

Spread out your mercy,

Over all fathers, daughters and sons.

For the glory of your son,

Jesus Christ.

In His holy name,

Amen.
